It's Hip to be Square
Located in a onetime industrial neighborhood that’s now home to many of San Francisco’s startups and entrepreneurs, L SEVEN pays tribute to the people around it: those once labeled “geeks” or “squares,” now the rock stars of a tech-driven economy. We collaborated with Fairfield Residential to help turn this mixed-use development into a buzzing hub of creativity.

Our client asked us to create a brochure and a carrier piece that would hold any leasing materials. We wanted to create something memorable, but had a limited budget to create both communication pieces. So, taking inspiration from Apple's product packaging, I teamed up with my designer to create a brochure/carrier package that extends the LSeven square concept in a creative way, while cutting production costs by combining the two deliverables.

We partnered up with San Francisco street photographer Travis Jensen to capture SoMA’s unique culture and industrial aesthetic in a bold, powerful way. We then used those images to craft a striking visual narrative that permeates every corner of the brand — from the community’s website to its signage and stationery.
